Passing of Captain Richard Truax, Ladder Company 1 - Retired

The officers and members of Lynn Local 739 regret to announce the death of Captain Richard Truax of Ladder 1; Retired.

Services are being held out of state.  Please keep the Truax family in your prayers.

Lynn Firefighters Day

To all Lynn Firefighters past and present, Happy Lynn Firefighters Day.

Lynn Firefighters Day was established by the Lynn City Council following a fire at City Box 41 on February 13, 1895 at Hutchinson Block Hardware on Munroe Street where four Lynn Firefighters made the ultimate sacrifice.

The following Lynn Firefighters died in the line of duty:

Captain Henry L. Skinner

Hoseman Thomas E. Murray

Hoseman John F. Donlan

Hoseman Abraham C. Moody

(All of Engine Company 3)

Captain Skinner was the son of Fireman Daniel C. Skinner who also died in the line of duty in 1888.  Hoseman Moody was the son of the late Chief Engineer A.C. Moody.

Passing of FF Cleveland Natola, E-11 Retired

Passing of Firefighter Cleveland Natola, Engine 11 - Retired

The officers and members of Lynn Local 739 regret to announce the passing of Firefighter Cleveland Natola of Engine Company 11, retired.

Services will be graveside on Wednesday January 9, 2019 at St. Mary’s Cemetery at 11 AM.  

Please keep the Natola family in your prayers.
