Lynn Fire Relief Association will be holding a meeting on Monday 03 December 2018 at 2000 in The Broadway Fire Station.

The purpose of the meeting is in accordance to Article V of the Relief Association By-Laws the purpose of nominating officers of the Association. 

Article V

S1; A meeting of the association shall be held at 8:00PM (2000) on the first Monday of December each year for the purpose of nominating officers of the association. All nominations shall be made from the floor, except members who are working or are on other department sanctioned leave may submit in writing to the secretary their interest in being nominated to a position. This is to be read at the December meeting and requires a member to make the nomination from the floor. The secretary shall cause a ballot to be printed with the names of the nominees thereon. Each member of the association present shall receive a ballot to be cast for the election of officers. Proxies shall not be used in voting. 

S1A; One member of the of the board of directors shall be elected from each station in the city. The president , vice president and secretary-treasurer shall be elected at large by the entire membership of the association. 

S2; A meeting shall be held at 8:00pm (2000) on the third Monday in January of each year. At said meeting a ballot box shall be placed in the charge of a committee appointed by the president until 9:00PM (2100). During said period all members in good standing of the association may vote and deposit their ballots for the election of officers in the ballot box. The ballot box shall be closed at 9:00PM (2100). The ballots shall be counted by the committee appointed by the president for that purpose and who shall report to the president the results thereof, who in turn shall report to the association.
